Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I accept out-of-network insurance!
I partner with Thrizer to handle reimbursements automatically for you. Once your deductible is met, you only pay your co-insurance and any rate differences, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. During our first connection call, I can help you verify whether you have benefits, your deductible amount, and how much your out-of-pocket cost would be.
What is your fee?
My fee for individual therapy is $200 per session.
What can I expect from my first session?
If during our consultation call we decide we are a good fit, we will schedule an initial/ first appointment, which is a chance to get to know you and talk about your goals for therapy. Before this initial/first appointment, I will ask you to fill out some paperwork that will let me know some more information about you and tell you about my practice policies.
I live outside of California, can I still work with you?
Therapists can only provide services in the state they are licensed in, so if you don’t live in California, unfortunately, no I cannot work with you.
Do you offer services in person?
I offer services primarily via Telehealth/virtually. The best part about this option is that it lets us meet in the comfort of your space, as long as you are located in California.
I have a limited amount of spots for walk & talk sessions for clients that live in San Diego.
How often will we meet & for how long?
Sessions are 50 minutes long and I meet with clients weekly, as from my experience this allows us to do the deeper work. We may decide to go biweekly as we decide to close up our work together.
When it comes to how long you will be in therapy, it’s all about what works for you, most of the clients I work with prefer longer term work together.
